Las Vegas, USA

7th – 9th July 2016

From Santa Monica we hired a car and drove 4 hours to Las Vegas, with a stop at in and out burger of course.

Arriving in Las Vegas was just as I imagined it would be, massive high rise buildings with traffic and pedestrians everywhere. We found our hotel and checked in. We stayed at The Palazzo and I cannot recommend it enough – amazing – I wish we could have stayed there forever. Our room was massive with a view of the city. The hotel has over 30 restaurants, a casino, a fake venice canal with luxury shops all through it, so many pools I could not count and all the usual hotel amenities.

We tried to book into TAO restaurant for dinner but it was booked out both nights we were in Vegas unfortunately so just went to one in our hotel which was nice. We explored the strip on the first night and had a look around. All kinds of crazy and amazing, cannot wait to go back to vegas with some friends and go clubbing. On the second day we went to the outlet mall – it was outdoors and it was 41 degrees so we stayed in the aircon shops as long as possible. We spent the afternoon at the pool. That night we went to The Bellagio Hotel and watched the Cirque du Soleil – O show. So so amazing I would recommend this to anyone, it is worth the money (thanks Dad). Late to bed and up tomorrow for our drive to the Grand Canyon.
